[MOPO] Question about Get Carter alternate cartoon style os

2008-05-08 Thread Michael Wong
Hi all,
Does anyone know if this poster was ever reproduced?

I have what appears to be the International cartoon style os for this Michael
Caine neo-noir. It's 27x39, rolled and on heavyweight matte paper. It
appears to be complete (I originally thought that the borders had been trimmed)
 It
looks almost like a silkscreen. No dates on codes other than Copyright 1971
John Von Hamersveld along the mid left edge of the image area.

Thanks Michael, Cinecityposters

Re: [MOPO] Who on MoPo is going to Cinevent?

2008-05-08 Thread Michael Wong
Hi Bruce,
Not like we are bff's, but I will be selling at Cinevent for the 2nd time in
the last 5 years.

I'll have many 30's Universal photos including some stunning horror stills, a
group of British foh stills on classic 50's and 60's titles, a group of
British Hammer stills, a few posters and a lot of classic 50's lobby cards
(Monroe,
etc). Maybe a Universal horror campaign book too. Haven't decided whether
to keep that or not yet.

I'll be in one of the upstairs show rooms.

See you there, Michael Wong, Cinecityposters

Re: [MOPO] Who on MoPo is going to Cinevent?

2008-05-08 Thread Michael Wong
Hi Bruce,
Not to dissuade you, but it is costing me the same amount to rent a car in
Cleveland and drive it to Columbus 3 days later as it is to fly from Ca to OH
and back.

Alamo had a v cheap rate 10 days ago, but I failed to jump on it and it more
than doubled a week later.

Since I met Neil Young and got his autograph at the Java One conference in SF
Tuesday, I'm taking that as a sign that I should spend the extra $200 and
visit the Rock HOF.

[MOPO] FA: Just 13 hours to go on our 800 one-sheets for auction on our site, and still LOTS of really great deals!

2008-05-08 Thread Bruce Hershenson
Just 13 hours to go, and still *LOTS* of really great deals at current
prices!

There are still around 180 one-sheets at $4 or under, and many of the
highest priced items are a steal at the current prices.

And there are lots of rarely seen desirable titles included:

p665 *SONS OF KATIE ELDER* '65 John Wayne, Dean Martin, Martha Hyer $88
p606 *REUNION IN FRANCE* '42 John Wayne AND Joan Crawford! $106
p794 *WUTHERING HEIGHTS* original 1939 one-sheet! Laurence Olivier, Merle
Oberon $180
p620 *SCARED TO DEATH* '47 Bela Lugosi, cool death mask image! $130

and on and on, for one-sheets in every price range!

Remember that every one of the 800 posters will *REALLY* be sold tonight to
the highest bidders (no secret reserves or deals with cobsignors). But
*YOU*can't get those bargains unless you bid, and you only have 13
hours left in
which to do so, so why not go to
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html right now and look over all the
items (and remember that *EVERY* buyer, even of one $1 item gets *THREE* of
our best full-color books free as a bonus!).

Are you calling after 3 PM your time (I know many of you "Hollywood celebs"
sleep all day)? We don't answer the phone after that time.

I am here right now at that number (417 256 9616) and will be here for 2
more hours (we leave at 5PM CST for the day).

Were you calling to tell me that there are just 4 hours to go, and there are
still LOTS of really great deals in my 800 auctions closing tonight?
Or were you calling to tell me there are still around 150 one-sheets at $3
or under ($50 at a buck each), and that even many of the highest priced
items are a steal at the current prices?

Or were you calling to tell me that buyers can't get those bargains
unless they bid, and that they only have 4 hours left in which to do so, and
that they should go to http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html right
now and look over all the items (and they need to remember that EVERY buyer,
even of one $1 item gets THREE of our best full-color books free as a
bonus!)?

If the above is what you were calling about, no need to call. Otherwise, I
will be waiting for your call!
