This is a very professionally done book. The colors and graphics are

that when he wrote Graven Images, he cost me a fortune by opening my eyes to
new posters that I didn't know existed. I hope this book doesn't end up

[MOPO] Book Recommendation

2013-06-05 Thread Joe Burtis
Hello Everyone,
Two old friends and fellow collector/dealers, Bob Matzen and John McElwee, have
released a book "Showmen, Sell it Hot!".
Below is a brief description and link to the website if you are interested.
Thanks for your time,
Joe

Based on his million-visitor blog and with new content and many rare and
previously unseen images, Hollywood historian John McElwee takes a first-time
look at the campaigns to sell the motion pictures generated by Hollywood's
fabled movie factories. A network of showmen brought these campaigns to life on
behalf of theatres large and small in thousands of locations around the United
States and represented the unsung heroes of the motion picture industry. This
lavishly illustrated, 304-page hardcover takes a marketing approach to the
making and merchandising of important Hollywood picture.

Zeev,

Sounds like a good book for classic actors and actresses but as
Kirby stated, he also needs something that has contemporary actors
and actresses and 1991 is almost 20 years old it's not going to
contain any contemporaries.

Zeev,

Sounds like a good book for classic actors and
actresses but as Kirby stated, he also needs
something that has contemporary actors and
actresses and 1991 is almost 20 years old it's
not going to contain any contemporaries.

[MOPO] BOOK FS: Cecil B DeMille & American Culture

2005-07-02 Thread Victor Medina
Hey all,

While cleaning out the office I came across several copies of this book and thought I should offer it here in case anyone is interested.

Cecil B DeMille and American Culture: The Silent Era by Sumiko Higashi

Great book with pictures about DeMille's early life and career.  It's a softcover and books are new, but there is some wear to the edges and some dust from storage.  3 copies are available.

Each book is $8 including shipping.  Let me know if you want more than one for discounted shipping.  Paypal only please.

Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] if interested.
