Re: [MOPO] MoPo's 11th Anniversary

2006-02-25 Thread Michael Greenwood
Wow! Well done, Scott! When I first read about the 11 years, I
thought, "That's so long ago...before the Internet even!" But I soon
realized that I've been here for almost seven so it's not that ancient
after all. Time flies when you're spending too much money and time on
movie posters, I guess.

Well done, everybody!

See you in 2017,
Michael Greenwood

The original 11 MoPo'ers (taken from the MoPo FAQ, Section 1.10):

Mahtab Moayeri, Michael Danese, Rob Ellis, Donna Tschetter, Goh Kai Shen,
Evan Zweifel, George Nichol, Cynthia Nemeth-Johannes, Adam Ehrlich,
Static555 (thanks to the AOL mail system Mr. 555's true identity has been
lost)... and yours truly.

5 of the original 11 are still on-board.

As far as the very first post, I think I may have a hard copy of it
somewhere. I'll look for it. This post would have pre-dated the actual
2-24-95 start of MoPo. In the beginning we just cc'd the other "members"

on
the listserv *was* off-topic! I think it just said something like "now
the

I have appreciated this site because i have made friends, connections to improve my collection, and obtained knowledge to understand poster issues and the hobby.  So, thank you, Scott.  (I believe that i have only been a member for about 6 years.)

People on this site appreicate the ability to make public postings or do private emails to others with similar interests.

Congratulations, and I expect to see lots of other praises about you and MOPO this weekend.  I am sure that it will generate even more postings than the controversial issue of a different site that was addressed here last weekend, much of which was started by me.

KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK !    I am very glad to have learned of MOPO...and just last week I recommended it to a collector/dealer who delivered a poster to my house but never heard of you, which surprised me.  I thought I was the last kid on the block.

THANKS FOR MAINTAINING A NICE SITE
