Hello All, Ocassionally I have a poster that does not need the full advantage of Sylvia's work. I touch them up with a kit of pencils I have from Prismacolor. One little trick I saw Sylvia do years ago with the same pencil kit was to sharpen the tip and then dip in in linseed oil, I believe her intent was to soften the lead so that it applied more evenly. Now, she didn't have the linseed oil dripping off of the pencil and she dabbed in on a rag before applying but that is how I do it and it works great. I wouldn't suggest dipping in the oil and then doing a section of white or light colored. Usually touch up with pencils is for darker areas anyway as there are never light enough pencils in my kit for very light areas.
