Hi Birders, 
  We will have a Bird walk on Wednesday August 26th at 8:00 am at 
Westwood Nature Center in St Louis Park! There’s a detour on Texas by 394! Take 
Cedar lake Road to Texas!
Meet in Parking lot and Bring binoculars, water, bug spray, and a face mask!  
We will bird for about 21/2- 3 hours! 
If you can stay afterwards to tour the  New Nature Center Building! 
Hope to see old friendsAnd meet new ones! Everyone is welcome!a decent number 
of warblers have been seen the last few days! 
PS scopes and Cameras are okay to bring!
See you all Wednesday!

33 birders saw 73 species of birds including a few reported after most left!
Highlights include!

And 17 Species of Warblers!

AM! Westwood Nature Center is located in St. Louis Park off Texas Ave between 
Cedar Lake Road and Hwy 394!
The migrants are starting to come through including a Golden winged Warbler 
Blue Grey Gnatcatcher and otherS! Barred Owl seen!

[mou-net] Hooded warbler

There has been a Hooded Warbler that has been singing at Westwood Hills Nature 
Center all morning now (June 16). There has been only brief visual, but it has 
been singing close and loudly. It has been singing most prominently on the 
north eastern portion of Basswood trail, when it starts heading downwards. A 
more detailed map can be found at the Front Desk of the Interpretive center.

No Westwood bird walk this week! Sorry! 
Did a walk there this PM and had some good birds including Blackbilled 
Cuckoo,Olive Sided Flycatcher, Wood Thrush,and Foy
Common Nighthawk! Along with usual resident birds!
