RE: MSX Redbook

2000-09-20 Thread Hans Otten

I have the original, so i could scan it in.

As usual, it could take a couple of days or longer, depending on time
available, other high priorities etc.

Hi

Does anybody have chapter 7 of the redbook?
("7. Machine Code Programs .. 240")
All the copies I found on the web stoped on page 239 ending with a
index.

Re: IDEstuff

2000-09-20 Thread Anne de Raad

Yes, it would be nice that someone that knows Japanese can translate these
 webpages
 into English.

Hi,

No need for doing that. Just browse to www.elingo.com and you can translate
Okei's page without any problems

It seems so you have to use patchcom.com to patch command2.comAfter
patching this ONE TIME DOS2 will handle size of programs and diskspace
correctly..

Second of all, you will have to use FAT16.com (current version 0.08) EVERY
TIME you start up your machine. FAT16.com is the actual driver

Of course this all will only work I you have installed IDE Bios v2.01

Please anyone correct me if I am wrong. I am planning to go to FAT16 this
weekend.hehehe

Greets,

Anne

memory testing

2000-09-20 Thread Richard Gerrits

Hello

I'm looking for a program to extensively test the memory of my msx, because
I want to know if the 2 Mb of memory, I build in my 8250 is working
properly.

Is there a program that reads/writes different patterns into the memory, to
see if its reliable?

Greetings Richard

 * 188 Game covers! Hundreds more to come!

Hi Philip,

question about this: are those covers scanned by yourself, or taken from
other sites like FUNet?
IN any case: let's work together and please upload also the covers to FUNet,
if they do not exist there already, in the following filename format:
Game_Name_-Software_Company-_info.jpg
info is somthing like, back, side, front and information about the version,
like Japanese, Korean and things. Check out the FUNet gamecover dir for
examples.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Manuel
