I believe it's a great idea if someone could make some 'sequels' to classic games
in MSX1, like Moon Patrol, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Goonies, Galaga, Theseus, among many
others. It doesn't need to be huge games needing many kbytes of mapper, but it
could be MSX2 games so it would have better colors, more sprites, and (who knows ?
i think i'm dreaming :-) ) SCC or fmpac music.

Stages are easy to map, because you can look around the map, if you just
run it with command :

PRINCE MEGAHIT

Then you can use H, U, J and N keys to look around, K to kill enemy etc.
etc.

Anyway that was enough of PC. This was anyway once uppon a time, when PC
had lots of less troubbles...

IMHO, this is not a problem. It is perfectly possible to create some story
related to the Belmont family that doesn't crashes with the Konami
storyline... what about a secret brother of Simon Belmont? what about a
Belmont from another "dimensional plane"? What about a story with some

Yes I've seen the other Castlevania's. I haven't seen the PC-Engine and
Playstation ones though...
I personally like Castlevania 2 for NES (great action/adventure
combination) and Castlevania 4 for SNES (great whip movement!) the most.
Also Castlevania Bloodlines/The New Generation/Vampire Killer(yes! In japan
called VAMPIRE KILLER) for Genesis is kinda nice...

Ofcourse there are only idea's now, why wouldn't that be "serious"? I
mean... It's no fun to COPY (or port) another castlevania to MSX. What
would be nicer is to make a NEW version, and preferably BETTER.

It would be nice if there was some place where you could 'shop' for

Maybe there are skilled MSX programmers out there with enough free time who

Funny you mention 'another dimensional plane', because one of my ideas was
that the castle of Dracula had several doors, each leading to another
dimension. The posibilities for scenario are huge when you take that in
account. (this idea is also incorporated in the title, see below)

That's why I said I wasn't sure about the SD part. In case you're wondering
what the other letters mean (SDFD): Super Dimensional Fortress Dracula.
That title is ofcourse a parody on Macross, for those who are familiar with
it.
