ag0ny has nothing to do with that page, but me. I'm the creator of the HTML
code. I will check HTML code to find out the problem (if I can).

There is a CRLF after the domain name. I think this is the error. This
can be seen more clearly later in the log:

You're right. This is the error. I don't know where this CRLF comes from,
but obviously this is the problem.

http://www.ag0ny.com/msx-legacy/index.htm, not
www.ag0ny.com/index.htm! The index file in my domain is a redirection to
aamsx.org using a simple PHP script.

The directory msx-legacy/ belongs to JAM. :)

That was *NOT* my mistake. I don't have anything to do with MSX-Legacy,
except for the fact that I donated the space in one of my servers (107Mb
as of today).

By the way, my nick is spelled a-g-ZERO-n-y, not with an uppercase 'O'. ;)

A browser shouldn't check for errors !!
The site developer should simply produce good HTML
IE checks a lot of errors and renders them more or less correctly, as a
consequence you will find a lot of site that contain bad HTML code and only
render correct if you use IE. I have some e-books here that all suffer from
the fact that if you type < in HTML that for ie the ; is optional so a
C-code listing is almost unreadable. I get "#include " instead
of  "#include "

So agOny, correct your mistake please. <:-)
Here is a, maybe nice, link:
http://validator.w3.org/
It will tell you exactly wat you need to change to get perfectly standarised
and correct HTML. (and propriaty extentions aren't allowed ofcourse :-)

This is of course wrong. It seems Konqueror has ziltch error checking on
simple things like this.
This is not an HTTP thing, its just bad HTML. A host can not have escaped
characters in it period.

I get the same error (using Konqueror from KDE 2.0.1) and I'm not using a
proxy server.

So it's either a problem of Konqueror, or it is a problem of one of the
servers that isn't critical in most other browsers.

I sent the full debug output directly to Ag0ny, I'll list some part that I
think are most interesting here.

khtml (frames & objects): parsing attribute 110=http://www.ag0ny.com
/msx-legacy/index.htm
khtml (html): creating frame name:
khtml (html): creating frame name:
khtml (render): child frame at (0/0) size (680/369)
khtml (render): child frame at (0/369) size (680/0)

[...snip...]
kio (Slave): createSlave for http://www.ag0ny.com%0D%0A/msx-legacy/index.htm
kio (Slave): PID of slave = 386
kio (KIOJob): TransferJob::start
kio (KIOJob): TransferJob::start : Sending metadata :
kio (KIOJob):referrer=http://www.msxlegacy.com
kio (Scheduler): PROTOCOL = http idle = 0
kio (Slave): slave has connected to application
kio (KIOJob): Finished [this = 0x8325e78]
kio (KIOJob): TransferJob::slotFinished(0x816a4b0, http://www.msxlegacy.com)
::jScriptEnabled: so: 0, sf: 0, se: 1
[...snip...]
kio (Slave): got answer 102
kio (KIOJob): error 14 www.ag0ny.com
kio (KIOJob):
kio (KIOJob): TransferJob::slotFinished(0x82f3890,
http://www.ag0ny.com%0D%0A/msx-legacy/index.htm)
kio (KRun): ERROR: ERROR 14 www.ag0ny.com
kio (KRun):
kio (Slave): got answer 109

I don't like the look of "%0D%0A" (CR/LF) in the URLs. But I'm not familiar
with the HTTP protocol so I can't say whether it is OK or not, nor where it
comes from.

Bye,
Maarten

Hi,

I can connect without any problems when using Netscape Navigator 4.73.

However, if I connect with KFM Ver 1.167, I get the following error message
in a pop-up window:
Unknown host in http://www.ag0ny.com/msx-legacy/index.htm

Nevertheless, I do get the contents with KFM.

Perhaps that Konqueror 2.0.1 is more sensitive to the 'unknown host' message
and refuses to display the contents when it encounters the error condition.

Kind regards,
Alex Wulms
