[MLO] Re: Is it possible to create an alarm Task that goes off: every hour, only during working hours?

2016-12-23 Thread Dwight
Hi, MG. The easiest way to do this is to code the date (& time?) when you
want to complete each task into the task completion date/time, then use a
view like "due next 7 days" or "due next 30 days". Is this what you had in
mind? If not, please write back and explain how you do it on Windows and
someone should be able to tell you how to do it on mobile. If you write
back, please start a new thread because this thread is about hourly alarms.

[MLO] Re: Is it possible to create an alarm Task that goes off: every hour, only during working hours?

2016-12-23 Thread Dwight
Hi, John.

1. Assuming that there are 40 working hours per week, you could create 40
tasks, the first one for Monday 9:00, then one for Monday 10:00 and so on
up to Monday 17:00, then Tuesday 9:00, and so on up to Fridat 17:00. Give
each one a weekly recurrence and set the reminder as appropriate.

2. Create a single task and give it a single context, lets call it
>Workhours. Define the schedule hours for this context so that it is open
during weekday workhours. Set the recurrence for one hour after completion,
and set reminders how you like. The task will appear once per hour as long
as you remember to promptly mark it completed when the alarm sounds.
Ideally the reminder would only appear at the times that the task appears
but somehow I doubt that it would work cleanly. (Monday at 17:00 the task
will recurr for Monday at 18:00. Monday at 1800 the start time is reached
but the task remains inactive and therefore hidden because the context is
closed. The task will appear again Tuesday at 09:00 when the context opens.
Will this prevent the reminder from sounding Monday at 18:00 and cause it
to sound Tuesday at 09:00 instead? Probably not.)

Re: [MLO] Re: Tell us about your wishes for future development on Facebook!

2016-12-23 Thread John . Smith

1.
Although I have posted some suggestions FB as requested, I do hate FB with
a passion and would much prefer something - anything! - else.
Fwiw, because I value my privacy I tend to set up special temporary
identities which I eventually delete, just for this sort of purpose. But
it's exceedingly inconvenient.

2.
This group is now confusing for new users, because there is a thread that
is pinned at that top called "How to suggest new MLO features". Is what is
says still applicable or not? It talks about mlo.uservoice.com which from
what I can see is looking swamped with old, out-of-date requests and not
working very well. My suggestion is to either unpin (and delete??) that
thread or at least pin this FB one if that is now the new way to make
requests.

[MLO] Suggestion: The field "Complete subtasks in order" needs be added to the automatic formatting.

2016-12-23 Thread John . Smith

Hi

I want request that the field "Complete subtasks in order" be added to the
automatic formatting.

I want to be able to see at a glance which projects I have got "Complete
subtasks in order" ticked. The problem is that without some sort of visual
markup it can be very hard to see in the To-Do view which projects
have/have not got additional tasks.

Any takers ? Would this be useful to anyone else here?

Cheers

J

PS Where is the best place for making suggestions?
Is it here or Facebook?
Either way the mlo.uservoice.com for is not working very well because
old/out-of-date requests are masking new/current requests. (Although it's
hard to be sure because suggestions do not appear to be date-stamped!)

[MLO] Re: Preserve manual sort through cloud sync?

2016-12-23 Thread Roberto Penzo
I am still dreaming that in the near future MLO features at least one
manual sorted view synchronized.
Dreaming is still allowed...

Re: [MLO] Re: Can I change the custom formatting to flag up tasks that have "Complete subtasks in order" ticked?

2016-12-23 Thread Smith, John
I guess that was my problem too!

The random weirdness of the finer points of MLO strikes again.
Drat. Well I would find it extremely useful.
I guess we'll need to request it specifically will we?

Hello - I don't see that particular field as an option in the automatic
