[MLO] Re: Rapid Task Entry for =tofld for folders with whitespace in the name not working?

2017-03-15 Thread pottster
Hi Brian,

Not sure whether it's a bug or just the way it's been implemented. In any
case, my suggestion would be to rename the folder without whitespace if
parsing is important to you e.g. Work-Misc-Actions.

By the way, enclosing in double quotes in MLO parsing *excludes* the
contained text from parsing.

[MLO] Outlook ID change when email gets archived

2017-03-15 Thread kitus
I'm wide aware of the current behavior that Outlook has regarding emails and
MLO. It really makes things complex when you want to get MLO and outlook become
part of your life. Anybody managed to overcome this?

In short: is there any way I can drag one email into MLO, have my task crested
and then file the email away and be able to retrieve it back when I click on
the OutlookID link?

[MLO] Outlook workflow with MLO

2017-03-15 Thread kitus
I'm wondering if anybody here has a solid outlook + MLO workflow, and would
care to share it.

I'm currently using a vbs script that I've been given, which creates a To-Do
item (not a task). The beauty of this script is that when you click the red
flag on a newer email of a certain conversation, it will update the to-do item
with that newest item, so you always get the most current email, ready to be
actionated. And this is simply marvelous.

I'm now trying to consistently replicate all those objects into MLO. Ideally, I
would love to see those items in MLO and manage them there. That would
certainly help me stay on top of things.

Ideas? Comments?
Thanks

[MLO] Re: task rules

2017-03-15 Thread MG
Hi,

Me too, regarding this possible automatic change.

Regarding the MLO flexibility, I would suggest the option to toggle between
manual and automatic Task's Rules.

The same would be useful for other requested automatic features, leaving always
two options for MLO to run under user desire or, in the limit, a combination of
the two regarding such features/functionalities.

[MLO] Rapid Task Entry for =tofld for folders with whitespace in the name not working?

2017-03-15 Thread Brian Cohen

I have a Folder structure:
Work
   |_Work Misc Actions

When I enter a task in the Rapid Task dialog such as:
foobar task -tofld=Work Misc Actions

It doesn't parse the whitespace, and the "foobar task" goes into the "Work"
folder. I tried surrounding with "double quotes, didn't work.

Is this a bug, or am I wrong with my Rapid Task Entry nomenclature?

[MLO] next action affect

2017-03-15 Thread Стас Вахтин
Hi, i'm newbie.

1. I'm trying to use "next actions" and don't understand how can i affect
on next actions in project.

Project1
Action1 - importance - normal
Action2 - importance - urgent
Action3 - importance - normal

For my understanding the urgent action most be on the top and be the next
action, but the next action in fact - Action1
I''ve tried any kind of sorting but it didn't help

2. When I see "all tasks" view it doesn't sort at all - for example:
Project "Development" has several folders and root tasks. It must be sorted
by Due Date, in my understanding all task in project must be sorted this
way:

1.task with "PDP" - yesterday
2.task with "ITIL" - yesterday
3.task with "WAS, Kering" - yesterday
4.task with PDP En3, En4 - today
and so on, but it doen't happen. Is this view connected with next
actions? how can i affect on it?
