Re: A tool

2009-01-20 Thread lakshmi pathi
Hi Krishna Chandra Prajapati,

How can i customize, to make it work on debian OS

After months of search finally yesterday i got debian - Lastnight i
tested giis binary with
debian -- yes running binary version gave me an Error as Floating Exception

Then i tried to compile it from source it worked well.Please refer
INSTALL file on how to compile from
source (it has only 5 steps)

I will fix this giis binary issue - till then debian user can try it
from source.

Anyway debian looks cool. :)

Cheers,

Hi everybody,

I have a very strange table problem - a table was created in one of our
databases, but I can't seem to drop it.

I tried with phpmyadmin and with mysql from command-line.

If I try to view it I receive this error:

View 'product_beta.test' references invalid table(s) or column(s) or
function(s) or definer/invoker of view lack rights to use them

And when I try to repair it:

| product_beta.test | repair | error| 'product_beta.test' is not BASE

I am logged in as root so I don't think it is a rights problem.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Re: *****SPAM***** Re: Aborted clients status variable seems increasing -how to tune the server to reduce the same

2006-06-16 Thread Lakshmi

Thanks Brent.

I increased my wait_timeout.But now also my aborted clients seems
increasing than connections.As u said most of my front end code use
mysql persistent connect only.Can u clarify my one more doubt that when
to use persistent connect and when to use mysql_connect and their
advantages and disadvantages.
Now my connections is 1509317 and my aborted clients is 1747365.Is it
a problem?Please let me know.

-Lakshmi.M.P.

Brent Baisley wrote:
You have your wait_timeout set to 5 seconds. Which means a client
connection will be aborted after 5 seconds of inactivity. Since your
aborted connects is 0, you don't seem to having a problem connecting,
just staying connected. 5 seconds is kind of low (default is 28800 I
think), but is fine if you have a reason for setting it so low. Your
threads_created number is fairly low, so you're not having a problem
of constantly creating threads to handle connections, which can really
hurt.

I don't know what your front end is written in. But you may want to
increase the wait_timeout or call mysql_close when you are done with
your database connection. I'm guessing that since your aborted clients
number is higher than the number of connections, you're using
persistant connections. Which means connections are reused if still
available.

Reading Date from a csv file

2003-09-16 Thread Lakshmi Chennareddi
I am new to mySQL.

I am trying to import data from a csv file, using the following code

LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE 'D:/foldername/file1.csv'

INTO TABLE database_name.tbl_name

FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','

  (

field1,

   field6_date,

field9

   );

The data is getting imported, but the dates are wrong.

In the original data file the dates are mm/dd/yy format. How do I specify
the date formats, in the code?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Lakshmi

hi

2001-06-14 Thread lakshmi

Hai,
   i gone thro u'r mysql documentation.
   but they haven't mentioned clearly.
   it's really big headache for users.

using c language i want to connect to datadase and perform some
queries(select,update,insert and delete).according to u'r documentation u said that
first use mysql_int() and mysql_real_connect method to connect to the database
in which library files these buildin functions are defined.

this is my c file

#includestdio.h
#includestring.h
#includestdlib.h
#include/usr/local/mysql/include/mysql.h
#include/usr/local/mysql/include/my_net.h
#include/usr/local/mysql/include/mysqld_error.h
#include/usr/local/mysql/include/mysys_err.h

main()
{
MYSQL mysql;
mysql_init(mysql);
mysql_options(mysql,MYSQL_OPT_COMPRESS,0);
mysql_options(mysql,MYSQL_READ_DEFAULT_GROUP,odbc);
if (!mysql_real_connect(mysql,localhost,user=root,,InControl,0,NULL,0))
{
 printf(stderr,Failed to connect to database: Error:
%s\n,mysql_error(mysql));
}
}

mysql_init() and mysql_real_connect() are build in functions.
in which library files they defined this functions.
pls mail me in detail
