I have tried with all of the available deinterlace settings, but usually
have it turned off. It doens't seem to make much (any) different whether
deinterlaced is turned on or off.

I don't think I've used any filters. (never known what to put in the Custom
Filters box). I also do not run any transcoding/commercial flagging etc.

Shouldn't be using /dev/dvb and /dev/dvb0, that's the old DVB interface. Check
out this page, the device setup for the Air2PC is identical:

http://www.rsmas.miami.edu/personal/angel/mythtv/air2pc-howto.html

You should be using the device nodes in /dev/dvb/adapter0/.

Can't help ya on the other stuff right now. :-)

[mythtv-users] Jerky Live HD3000

2005-03-26 Thread Kelly
Well, I just spent about 30 hours trying to get this configured and
set up. I just spent about 14 hours today trying to get a "picture"
out of my HD3000 card from an OTA HDTV signal. Only to be rewarded
with the jerky live image

I built this system specifically for live HDTV. I bought a P4 3.0
processor, 512 MB ram, nividia 5200, and a 250GB SATA hard drive.

I followed Jarod C. Wilson's guide (outstanding by the way) but had
to start deviating to try and get the dvb drivers to load up. For some
reason, after every reboot, I have to chmod -R mythtv:root /dev/dvb
and /dev/dvb0 or the mythbackend will fail to start the DVB#0.

When I start up mythfronted I get the "prebuffering pause" in line
with the online jerky pauses.

I'm still only half way there. I have to get a new DirecTV receiver
because I have the only three in the world without the serial
connection for channel changing. I finally got my stations to show up
but they are not like the ones on UHF for DT channels. So I'm still
not sure how to get that figured out. And to finish things off the top
part of my 46" HDTV has a black bar that shimmies. So next I have to
figure out the modes for my xorg.conf file.

Why lord, why did I do this.??

Not necessarily true. Axel and I added FireWire support to the ATrpms Myth
builds a while ago.

This is correct though.

ATrpms has also packaged up all the requisite FireWire bits, including
libavc1394, libraw1394 and libiec61883, so there's nothing that needs
compiling if using ATrpms.

There was a change in the libiec61883 code that prompted the necessity of a
patch to Myth for FireWire support to work correctly. Its already included in
the ATrpms builds.

You're going about this incorrectly. Everything works perfectly on my box
without a thing in rc.local. For the device node, this...

mknod /etc/udev/devices/raw1394 c 171 0

...will take care of recreating the device node on restarts.

To get the right modules loaded, I just have only these two lines in
modprobe.conf:

alias ieee1394-controller ohci1394
install ohci1394 /sbin/modprobe raw1394; /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install
ohci1394

And that's it.

Its not.

One gotcha that got me: I think my cable co. pushed down a firmware update at
some point that caused my box to power-cycle. Upon coming back up, it had a
different FireWire bus node, and thus Myth couldn't find it anymore. Missed
last week's 24 and CSI:Miami because of it... :-\

Aside from that, its been rock-solid.

Actually, 3GHz is recommended for an HD setup. You can get away with less on a
frontend-only system, but an all-in-one box needs to do more than just
playback, so you'd be pushing it.

# apt-get install linuxtv-dvb-kmdl-`uname -r`
# apt-get install linuxtv-dvb

That'll get you DVB drivers that include support for the HD-3000. ATrpms
doesn't have the v4l variant of the HD-3000 driver at this time, so either
use the DVB driver, or grab the pcHDTV-2.0 tarball from the pcHDTV web site.

An updated build by Axel will fix the issue. Not sure if its already been
pushed out or not. The Makefile for ivtv recently changed, which caused a few
things to go haywire in the ATrpms build.

So just wait a bit, then apt-get update and try installing again.

[mythtv-users] FC3 - ivtv dependency problems...

2005-03-26 Thread Mike Jones
Hello All!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I have followed Jarod's excellent guide and found the guide
indispensable. I was almost complete when a storm shutdown my
computer in the middle of step 13. Also, I may have done some updates
via synaptic which somehow disrupted my ivtv drivers as they no longer
work. I've tried apt-get remove all of the ivtv files but keep getting
a dependency problem when going the "apt-get install ivtv"

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ivtv: Depends: ivtv-kmdl-1:0.2.0-66_rc3i.rhfc3.at but it is not installable

How do I purge the incompatible modules to get the driver to install
correctly? Do I just need to start with a fresh install of FC3?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Hey Jack -

Interesting. They would not tell me the brand or type of box they will
be delivering until the day they arrive, so I could not really try and
figure much out.

I plan on putting in a Sound Blaster Audigy2 I have laying around into
the system, and that has firewire builtin to it, so maybe I will get
as lucky!!

Out of curiosity, what changes did you have to make to Myth to get it
to handle everything over the firewire..? What type of firewire card
are you running..?

Thanks

I've read that you can rig up one of those infared remote things from
the computer to the digital box to control the channels.

My PVR250 came with one of those cables with an ir blaster to do
this...you might do some searching for that...and I'm sure people on
the list do this with both digital cable and satellite.

I've also heard some digital boxes can be controlled by a serial cable
and maybe even firewire too...

Do a little google searching on those terms...should give you a start..

works brilliantly, including with HBO, Showtime, and INHD1 & 2. I am
dreading the day they encrypt the channels over firewire because right now
it's much more stable than either my 2k or 3k pchdtv card, with dvb or
regular drivers. Firewire = 2 thumbs up, minus a small issue with the unit
powering off randomly every few weeks or so.

Funny how mythtv is more stable and reliable recording over firewire than
the "professional" hdtv pvr cox supplies.

Subject: [mythtv-users] MythTV w/Digital Cox Service ?

Hey Everyone -

So I broke down and ordered cable from my local cable company (Cox)

Much to my surprise did I learn that they no longer allow (or
support/send/whatever) any of the subscription channels (HBO,
Showtime, etc) over their analog cable system.

In order to get this (and HDTV) service, I have to subscribe to their

Well, for $1 for 6 months of service I added the premium channels and
HDTV to my the analog service I ordered.

According to the service rep, I will have both the digital service
(for channels over 99) and the digital service.

So here I am in the middle of my 1.2TB, Dual Athlon MythTV monster
server build thinking its going to be a bummer to have to get just
regular cable and nothing else on my mythtv system.

I can add an off-the-air HDTV antenna as I have ordered the PCHDTV
card and a PVR-350 (all of the 250's were out of stock) but I would
reall like everything.

I figured if anyone had figured this out, someone here has done it.

So, my question - Is there some way to hook up the Cox digital box to
the MythTV backend so that I can use the Myth system to control the
digital box and output it to Myth so it can be recorded, played,
etc..? Or am I stuck with simple analog cable with my myth system..?

Is there a 'digital cable' tuner card made by anyone, or is it
specific to each cable company..? I know my TV has an input for
digital cable rf, but not sure who it works with (if anyone). It also
has an input for an HDTV card from the cable company.

Anyway - if anyone has some ideas, I am all ears !!

Thanks !!

problem and disabled transcoding... but now I'm trying to figure out the
issue as I'm only getting 40 hours on my 120 GB drive.

If I correctly understand the current state of this problem,
mythtranscode, as late as 0.17, but fixed somewhere in CVS (maybe) has
a problem where it switches to outputting RAW mode frames, due to
system load during the transcode. Captain Murdoch (from IRC) was
chasing this around, and I believe he said he found it, though I don't
know whether the patch was committed yet or not.
As you can guess, we've had that problem here, as well.
I'm *fairly* sure that this will be fixed, for those few people who
seem to get bitten by it, in the upcoming 0.18, but I'll double check.

Re: [mythtv-users] Choosing between nVidia 5200/5500/5700LE??

2005-03-26 Thread Joe Votour
If you have a fast enough CPU, then you can play DVDs
on the PVR-350. I have done it on an Athlon XP 2400+,
and although xine was telling me that it was dropping
frames, I wasn't noticing anything.

Myself, I'm using a 5200 now. As for the reasons on
recommendations on the 5200 - my guess is two things:
1. It's not as powerful a chip, thus doesn't generate
as much heat, so you can get fanless 5200 cards (I
have one, with a heatsink on it). I don't know if you
can get a 5500 or 5700 without a fan.
2. It's cheaper than a 5500 or 5700.

Unless you're using this machine for MythTV as your
primary workstation and/or doing 3D intensive tasks,
then the 5200 should be fine.

[mythtv-users] HD-3000 / Jarod's guide / atrpms

2005-03-26 Thread Mr. Myth
Hello,
in Jarods guide he mentions there might be a future update where we
could use rpms from atrpms with a hd-3000 card without having to compile
anything.

I would be very happy with that prospect because it would mean my mythtv

If we can do this now, does anyone have a pointer on how to get it going?

[mythtv-users] WinTV PVR 350, debian/amd64 and no channels

2005-03-26 Thread Jonas Meurer
hello,

my system runs debian/amd64 (unstable), the ivtv 0.3.0o drivers and
utils and mythtv 0.17 debian packages from Matt Zimmermann, rebuilt
with mysql 4.0 and --cc=gcc-3.4 -march=k8.

'cat /dev/video0 > my.mpg' produces snow, so i believe that ivtv drivers
are loaded correctly. i've attached modprobe ivtv output.
/etc/modutils/ivtv includes:
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
options ivtv ivtv_debug=1 ivtv_pal=1 tuner=5

add below ivtv msp3400 saa7115 saa7127 tuner
add above ivtv lirc_dev lirc_i2c ivtv-fb
post-install ivtv /usr/local/bin/ivtvctl -u 0xff

i believe that mythtv is setup correctly, i ran mythtv-setup,
tv_grab_de_tvtoday and mythfilldatabase --manual.
mythtv-backend runs correctly, and mythfrontend seems to connect to it.

i linked the tuner to my tvtoday source, and set tuner as default stream
source.

nevertheless if i choose to view television in mythfrontend, i see
nothing more than a black screen. mythtv hangs and only kill helps.

i've heard that running mythfrontend as root helps, and that this is an
amd64 (build architecture) specific bug, but even as root i see no
change.

i tried also to record sendings with mythepg, but even these recordings
where just black.

one or two times, mythtv didn't crash but rather showed a single error
message after some minutes of black screen, that sayed that the video
decoder couldn't be initialized.

i've no glue whether this is a known bug that needs to be fixed in source,
or whether i've any chances to fix this on a user level.

if the former is true, i'll do some further debugging with gdb, and
contact mythtv and ivtv devel lists. but maybe the latter is true, and
you can help me?

thanks for advice

[mythtv-users] [Slightly OT] Via EPIA, Unichrome, TV-out: Interlacing?

2005-03-26 Thread Jon Whitear

I have a Via EPIA M10K front end with Unichrome drivers,
using xvmc VLD.

In live TV, fast horizontal pans (e.g. Simpsons opening
sequence) are a blur, which I take to mean that some form of de-interlacing is
taking place. I don’t have any interlacing configured in mythfrontend.

Is this expected with this combination? Is there anything I
can do about it? I’m not sure if this is a Myth issue, or a Unichrome
issue, hence my initial post here.

Unichrome is from CVS as of February, and Myth is from CVS
as of yesterday.

Cheers,

Jon

Re: [mythtv-users] DCT-6200 w/ FireWire -- Looking for Input..

2005-03-26 Thread Jeff Wormsley
Big Wave Dave wrote:
-I am looking for "gotchas" or tips.

You'll need to compile mythtv from source, and edit the settings.pro to
enable firewire. You'll also have to compile the 6200ch file to change
channels.

You need to install all the firewire drivers, probably from source, and
make sure they load on boot and create the right /dev/ entries. Check
the archives for info on that. It can be a pain. When I did it, the
latest versions of two of the modules needed were incompatible with each
other, and I had to apply a patch. It's been a month or so, so that may
be fixed, and I certainly don't remember which files.

I did put this in my /etc/rc.d/rc.local (FC3)
#!/bin/sh
#
# This script will be executed *after* all the other init scripts.
# You can put your own initialization stuff in here if you don't
# want to do the full Sys V style init stuff.
touch /var/lock/subsys/local
/usr/X11R6/bin/xset -dpms
/usr/X11R6/bin/xset s off
/sbin/service LCDd start
/sbin/modprobe ieee1394
/sbin/modprobe ohci1394
/sbin/modprobe dv1394
mknod -m 666 /dev/raw1394 c 171 0
The last four lines are the important ones, and I don't think the dv1394
is really needed. Somehow that should be taken care of by modprobe.conf
but I never figured it out. Someone else may be able to fill us both in.

-I have seen that 2Ghz is recommended for an HD setup. Is this enough
for a frontend/backend combo... when capturing via firewire?

My 2.4Ghz almost keeps up, but I'll lose audio or freeze if I use
FF/RW/Pause too much. I'm planning to go to a 3.0Ghz + board soon, but
am living with it at the moment. Your mileage may vary.

Supposedly, xvMC would help, but for some reason I can't get it to work
on my MX5200. It crashes constantly. Again, you might be able to use
it with a slower CPU.

When it does work (on a slower system), it looks great. Can't wait to
see what it looks like when I get my new board.

Jeff.

did you modify your xorg.conf to adjust for the nvidia driver? The
driver does create a sample xorg.conf.nvidia files for you.

Use glxinfo and make sure you get OpenGL version string: 1.5.3 NVIDIA

Also make sure glxgears works (with appropriate results). Then try
myth again.

[mythtv-users] Live and recorded TV shifted right.

2005-03-26 Thread Michael Carland
I've created a new setup running .17, with a PVR-500MCE in the backend,
and an EPIA M10K frontend.

The Default and LiveTV record settings are set to 720x480, and I've tried
4:3, square, and 2.21:1 aspect ratios.

The frontend is using a Noscale mode at 720x480, that has reduced overscan
(Unichrome driver). The screen settings in Myth are 690x445+0+15, and I
have tweaked them so that the menu displays are exactly the size of the
visible portion of the TV. "Use GUI size for TV playback" is not checked.
I am using "Deinterlace playback" with the Bob algorithm, and both "Use
hardware XvMC MPEG decoding" and "Use HW XvMC VLD Decoding (Via Only)". I
do see messages in the log like "Fulfilled via DRI at 5898240", I assume
that is the hardware XvMC working. All four values in the "Overscan"
settings are zero.

If I "cat /dev/video0 > testvideo.mpg" and play it in VLC, the video looks
fine. But in Myth, there is a large black area on the left, and the right
side of the video is missing. I would guess the video is shifted right
about 20%.

If I use one of the 4:3 zoom of Fill modes, way too much is cropped off
the display. I was assuming that by using both 720x480 on the capture, and
in the X display, everything should line up, and I would only be losing
what is outside the 690x445 that the menuing displays in.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Is it a problem that 720x480 is
3:2, and that is not one of the aspect ratios for the MPEG2 decoders in
the recording profiles?

Thanks,

-Michael

[mythtv-users] No sound since upgrade

2005-03-26 Thread Matt Lane
I have put this on the back burner for a long time but now I need to
get it working.

Ever since I upgraded to .17 I have no sound coming into MythTV. I
had it working in .16. Whenever I view live tv, I get no sound. I
can playback other video that I previously ripped and get sound
without a problem. I don't get sound with just Mplayer either.

If I run /usr/bin/aplay /usr/share/sounds/KDE_Startup.wav it works no problem.

Are there any other tests I can run?

I have been through Jarod's site and searched all over but haven't
found my problem answered.

I am running FC3 64.

Thanks for your help.

did you modify your xorg.conf to adjust for the nvidia driver? The
driver does create a sample xorg.conf.nvidia files for you.

Use glxinfo and make sure you get OpenGL version string: 1.5.3 NVIDIA
71.67.

Also make sure glxgears works (with appropriate results). Then try
myth again.

Cheers,

Hi Mary.
Some of the dvb-t drivers don't report the signal strength properly - my
Leadtek LR6650 cards report the inverse of the signal ...

As for the exporting issue - I had problems with that too - it's
inherent in the kind of stream they transmit. What I do when I want to
convert a recorded show to divx or whatever is put the .nuv file through
a re-muxing tool which corrects the sync. There's a one for Windows
called PVAStrumento - it's quick and very efficient for making a
'proper' mpeg file from a recorded show.

Enough heresy though - I think there are such tools for Linux but I
don't know where to get them. I guess I'll have to find out when I dump
XP for good soon ;-)

Hope I've helped a little.

I believe changing the duplicate check in recording profile to only
check against current recordings will allow this. The default is to
check against all recordings, which includes 'previous recordings'
data.

I have no idea how find the 'previous recordings' data and delete a
especific episode you want to re-record though.

Re: [mythtv-users] Re: problem getting interlaced output

2005-03-26 Thread Cory Papenfuss
Cory, thanks for the info. I had been using a something like:
Horizsync 10-90
VertRefresh 10-120
I had thought that these numbers only served as upper and lower limits and
that the actual frequencies were somehow derived from the modelines. I tried
the mode lines that I had tried before with the specific frequencies that you
suggested but the main difference was that no modes validated so I couldn't
even start X. I guess that's because I am now limiting the frequency ranges
to a single pair of values. On one attempt, the error was "hsync out of
range" instead of "vsync out of range" Does that mean I'm getting closer?

You were right... those two lines are there to protect you from
yourself. If you set those to values that your monitor can do, then when
X fires up it will invalidate any mode that produces frequencies outside
the range that was specified for a monitor. If you open it wide open like
you did (10-90H, 10-120V), you can code up whatever you want and unless
the card balks at the programming due to other reasons, it'll spit out
whatever you ask for.

What is the relationship between the dotclock value in the modeline and the H
and V frequency values?

Take a look at what was added to the wiki from a post of mine:
http://www.mythtv.info/moin.cgi/ModeLinesHowTo_2fDoItByHand
Basically, remembering that the 1st number is *10^6,
Hfreq = 1st number/5th modeline number
Vfreq = 1st number/(5th number * 9th number)
Is it correct that for interlaced TV, the 29.97 number is frames/sec and the
59.94 number is fields/sec? Which of these two numbers goes on the
VertRefresh line?

The actual speed of the vertical oscillator in other words,
60.

Here is the relevant section of my xorg.config file. Should this have worked?
Probably not.
	HorizSync15.734
Probably make it 15.5-16
#VertRefresh 29.97
VertRefresh 59.94
Again, make it a range around the right freq
	#ModeLine "ATSC-480-60i" 11.97 640 664 736 760 480 484 492 525
Interlace
	#Modeline "640x480i" 14.16 640 712 776 904 480 532 537 625 interlace
-hsync -vsync
	#Modeline "coryntsci" 14.3 720 760 824 912 480 484 492 525 interlace
-hsync -vsync
	Modeline "coryntscpi" 28.6 720 760 824 912 480 484 492 525 interlace
-hsync -vsync
Did you only *want* the progressive scan mode? That one is 2x the
Hfreq... basically standard [EMAIL PROTECTED], just 720x480. In that case, you'll
need 31kHz as a valid Hfreq. Also, since you specified it as interlaced,
you'll get 120Hz vertical output.

(II) NVIDIA(0): Clock range: 12.00 to 300.00 MHz <--- Does
this mean that the modeline with the 11.97 dotclock will never work?
Yes... but it's probably "close enough" that you could use it. If
in doubt, change the 5th number by the ratio of 12.00/11.97

(II) NVIDIA(0): Not using mode "coryntscpi" (hsync out of range)

Just as a note to the wiki page. The honest-to-goodness NTSC mode
I found:
Modeline coryntsci 14.318 720 760 824 910 480 484 492 525 interlace

is not liked by the nvidia driver since 910 is not divisible by 8. That
can be fixed with a slight adjustment:

Modeline coryntsci 14.350 720 760 824 912 480 484 492 525 interlace
Do the math... it still works out to the right frequencies.

[mythtv-users] DVI->HDMI on Toshiba DLP

2005-03-26 Thread Joel Anderson
Hi all,

I'm helping my brother-in-law hook his myth box up to a Toshiba 52HM84
DLP rear projection with a DVI to HDMI cable. We got a picture right
away, but of course the overscan is way too much and the color looks
like something less than the specified 24 bit. They say it supports
E-EDID, but read-edid says that the FX5200 and TV combo are not
compatible. So anyway we are fighting to dial in the modeline and
wondered if anyone has a good starting point for this particular
model.

3. apt-get update

Matt, you're not the only one having the problem.
Fresh install, FC3, same error.
Have you found a workaround, without the fresh install or compiling from

I haven't done any benchmarking. I don't have a configuration which
would allow it as all my drives are bound into a logical volume.

You're correct that the bandwidth of ATA would seem to be large
enough that multiple drives sharing a cable should not be a
significant problem. However there are other considerations.

The ATA protocol is such that only a single command can be issued
at a time. This means that not only do you have to consider the
transfer rate but you also have to consider the latency. I don't know
if disk reads/writes involve one command or two. Additionally there are
issues when you mix ATAPI devices and ATA devices on the same cable. Depending
on the controller you may slow down that cable to the speed of the ATAPI
device so it may not be good to put a hard drive on the same cable as an
optical disk.

The ATrpms Myth package XvMC support is built against the 6629 nvidia
driver,
looks like they need to be rebuilt for 7167, which will in turn will
probably
break XvMC for those still using 6629, but such is life...

Re: [mythtv-users] watching recordings on windows via samba share tomyth box

Thanks Kent.
I was trying to figure this out myself with limited success. It also gets
me round the issue of large file support (lack of) on Fedora FC3.

Subject: [mythtv-users] watching recordings on windows via samba share
tomyth box

I thought I would share this hack in case anyone else was looking to do
this:
I've installed the VLC client on my laptop and was happy with the way
the way recordings played via the samba share to my recordings
directory. The one thing that was missing for me was a decent
description of the hard to decipher file names. Enter the mythweb
recordings page which has a beautiful layout of your recordings with
descriptions etc. So I thought, why not hack the php code to redirect
to local samba file - so here's the process I went through to get that
done.

1. on the windows machine I installed the latest version of VideoLan
Client (vlc) www.videolan.org
2. on the windows machine I registered a new protocol called vlc. I
did this by creating a new key using regedit that points anything with
the vlc: prefix to the vlc viewer. Here is the structure of the new
key:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT]
  [vlc]
  (Default) = "URL:vlc Protocol"
  URL Protocol = ""
  [DefaultIcon]
  (Default) = "vlc.exe"
  [shell]
  [open]
  [command]
  (Default) = "c:\Program Files\videolan\vlc\vlc.exe" "
%L"

3. On the myth side, I edited the recorded_progams.php (buried in a
themes directory). I only changed the line that creates the image
link(it's buried in an if statement that determines creates a URL for
the image if you have that feature turned on) - I figure that way if I
still want to download the program I can just click on the description
and it will still function as the author intended. So comment out the
original image tag and replace it with something like this(you'll need
to adjust for the name of your samba share and the directory that your
recordings are stored in):
echo ''

once again, just for reference, Mythtv is the name of my box and my
recordings are in /video/recordings/ - so you'll need to adjust
accordingly.
Anyway, just a little hack I thought I'd throw out there in case
anyone else was looking for something similar. I've had success with
it on 3 different windows machines so far. I'm not a programmer or
anything, so please let me know if there was an easier way to do this
that I missed.

Right, but I think everyone missed your real question. Myth does
support external channel changing without changing the pre-set
channel for the coax input. In mythtv-setup, choose "Input connections".
Go to the composite input and set the "Video source" to "(None)".
For your TV input, choose the Video source then enter the "External
channel change command" and set "Preset tuner to channel" to either
3 or 4 or whatever channel the cable box is set to for it's output.

This is strange - as far as I understood, mpeg4 encoding/decoding was
more
cpu intensive than mpeg 2?

Also there was no cpu difference between mpeg4 decoding with XvMC off or
on.
Doesn't mythtv use XvMC for mpeg4 playback or is XvMC for mpeg 2 only?

Your setup of mythvideo may be different but I've got mine setup to run
mplayer using the xv video output (it was the default). Mythvideo just
calls mplayer with the command line you configure in Utilities/Setup ->
Setup -> Media Settings -> Videos settings -> Player Settings.
You can compile mplayer with xvmc support (i.e. run configure with
--enable-xvmc) and then make your mythvideo command something like:
mplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo xvmc %s
Mythvideo is working great for me so I'm going to leave mine using xv..
unless
anyone has a compelling reason to use xvmc?

Just remove the kernel msp3400 and rerun depmod, then there'll be no
question. (the ivtv one will be in /lib/modules/`uname -r`/extra/).

Reading through the history, you've got the line:
 options ivtv ivtv-debug=0 mpg_buffers=90
in modules.conf. Change ivtv-debug=0 to ivtv-debug=1 which should give
more information. Then rerun the tac script.
