Hello Maybe it doesn't help much, but the new version of the ivtv driver solves problems with some tuners, but from your post I can see that your card is not the one with that kind of problems. Your tuner us type 2 and that one should be reconized by any ivtv driver version. What I can advise you is to post all the information related with ivtv (module options, your region, etc) so everyone can have a look at it and try to help you.
