Just to be sure, I took the PVR-250 out of the box.

Also, I ran the atscscan as root.

I too didn't see it loading the firmware --- but I don't get any error
messages either. The messages in /var/log/message stop at:

Dec 9 10:13:20 video kernel: DVB: registering frontend 0 (Oren OR51132

The atscscan doesn't generate any more messages, including any
possible errors loading the firmware.

Thanks!

That is a little strange. Hopefully your PVR-250 is now on
/dev/video1 (set the first minor option to move it), since the HD3000
is grabbing video0. Here's my /dev/dvb for my HD3000 (which I run
with a PVR500):

# find /dev/dvb
/dev/dvb
/dev/dvb/adapter0
/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0

/dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0

/dev/dvb/adapter0/video0
/dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0
/dev/dvb/adapter1
/dev/dvb/adapter2
/dev/dvb/adapter3

It might be a permissions issue on the devices, but your error says no
such device, so probably not.

I don't see it loading the firmware.. did you download it from pchdtv's
site? There's over the air and qam firmware, you can have one or both
loaded, but you need one. Google for the pchdtv howto (The wiki
version) and you'll see the instructions on how to install it, or there
may be a readme in the tarball for the firmware that also says where to
put them, typically. /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/dvb-fe-or51132-X.fw

Recording does work now. I had to remove a few channels that don't have good

I actually followed those steps pretty closely. That's how I got the
video working. US-broadcast is the frequency table, and only the HD
channels are selected in Zap2It. I'm not sure what it is.
