Using Xv, interlaced output only outputs a single field. I'm pretty sure that even on my SDTV setup (480i directly out VGA port) that's what it's doing. If I play with -vo x11, it's much crisper. It *outputs* interlaced... just that the data it puts out is crap. -Cory -- * * Cory Papenfuss* * Electrical Engineering candidate Ph.D. graduate student * * Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University * * ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

Tis' a shame, I liked the DPI option they threw in there, much better than guessing with the crappy mm numbers. :) add another 8174 woe: I enabled XvMC option, play video first time, no problems. Play video second time, entire machine froze. 8174 works great for me (using DVI). XvMC works on HD without stuttering like 7676 did. Uses about 25% CPU. No complaints here. Using FX5500. I tried it as well, and I have the same problem. It's better with XvMC, but just barely. I get lots and lots of prebuffer pauses. For now - I've moved back to the 7676 build (which works flawlessly on my setup). I think I'll be doing the same. Funny - tried it and had TERRIBLE playback (Jittery playback). Not using XVMC, just XV on a AMD64 with 5700.interested to see if anyone else tried it?
