We eventually will need to generate the (Common)AssemblyInfo.cs from our
build file (using the asminfo task), that would also resolve this issue
...
In order to accomplish this, we'll need a version task (similar to the one
in NAntContrib) that can match the incrementing behaviour of the
AssemblyVersionAttribute. So, we'll either need to create a new task (or
function ofcourse) or extend the NAntContrib one ...

Regarding this ShowHelp issue: why don't we just disable the test and
let's
(somehow) embed the build date into the NAnt.exe so that it displays in

copyright banner. How about a #define that would be passed to csc ?

This is a known issue in the 0.84 release (and all previous
releases actually) as we have a unit test to ensure that we
increment the copyright year.
We still have to discuss how to proceed with this issue.
