[neonixie-l] B-7971
It's probably wishful thinking but I'd like to track down a single B-7971. I'm in the process of building a clock and one of four tubes I have is a little reluctant on a couple of segments. Perhaps it can be revived with some extra current? https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-8NEKtUWdNM0/UT7EOGsMeRI/AAM/1fztdRJxA4I/s1600/8543980711_ddb29c28ad_k.jpg -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups neonixie-l group. [neonixie-l] Photoelectronic Devices by JB Dance
An interesting book, the volume I have is published in 1969 so it is in the period that interests many. Several chapters on photoemission (materials, diodes, tubes), semiconductors as photodevices, image intensifiers and electroluminescent devices. Mostly theory and equations but with a few practical, illustrative circuits. Not a bad gamble as Abe Books has copies starting at GBP 0.69 plus postage... [neonixie-l] New set of IN-9 nixie tubes
Hello experts, I recently bought a set of IN-9 tubes for a diy audio spectrum analyzer. Here are links to the pictures of one of the tube: http://www.flickr.com/photos/svkr2k/8550925083/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/svkr2k/8550925431/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/svkr2k/8550925643/in/photostream/ Is this really new one? I noticed that the backside of the tube has black deposits like it was used? Any ideas? I'm totally new to nixie tubes. -rkvs. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups neonixie-l group. [neonixie-l] Re: New set of IN-9 nixie tubes
For high voltage power supply, I was planning to use 230V to 110V AC transformer and rectify it. So, the DC voltage would be 155.6V, I hope. Here is a nice article regarding in-9 driver that has +150V as high voltage power supply. So, I believe that I can use the same circuit and test all in-9 tubes i got? I'm worried about cathode poisoning and other issues that are common with these tubes. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups neonixie-l group. [neonixie-l] Re: B-7971
I'd give it a dose. My experience is these small segments respond pretty well to treatment.
