Re: [neonixie-l] How to get IV-11 VFD tubes properly aligned on protoboard
No need to place round as a circle on the proto board, you can place it liake square or other sharp, the leg is flexible, just be care of being short. For driving signel IV-11 tube as a module, check http://vfdclock.jimdo.com/. http://u.jimdo.com/www36/o/sb03fefd490221d21/img/i3cf583dfcc7c7895/1368173674/orig/iv-11-vfd-module.jpg 在 2013年12月5日星期四UTC+8上午6时26分55秒,nixiebunny写道: > > Gideon, > > The wires are flexible. Ok I'll see wether i can place them a bit higher as I was pushing them almost against the pcb. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group. Re: [neonixie-l] How to get IV-11 VFD tubes properly aligned on protoboard
Yep, exactly. I can take a picture of how I place them, but basically it ends up being a sort of square or rectangle. I leave about a centimeter of lead above the protoboard so that the tube can be gently twisted the right way. -Adam On 12/4/2013 2:26 PM, David Forbes wrote: Gideon, The wires are flexible. My alternative plan is to just bend the wires a little but I don't want to stress the connection to the glass feedthrough (?) too much. For those who followed my previous thread(s) currently I am only waiting for the PLCC to dip sockets and DC-DC convertors, the rest is here. Gideon, The wires are flexible. Don't worry about stressing the glass.
