Re: Net-snmp 5.4.2.1/Solaris 5.10 w/ enable-mfd-rewrites: TCP-MIB scalar counters showing up as zero

2009-04-06 Thread Anders Persson
Hi Wayne,

I did a build of 5.4.2.1 with the following options:

$ ./net-snmp-config --configure-options
'--enable-ipv6' '--with-out-mib-modules=mibII/ipv6'
'--enable-mfd-rewrites'

But I've not been able to reproduce the issue that you are
seeing. However, I've been doing my testing on OpenSolaris (I'll try
it on a S10 box tomorrow).

BTW, did you specify any options other than --enable-mfd-rewrites?

Could you provide me with the patch level that your machine is running?

There appears to be a bug in Solaris (libsocket to be specific). I'll

Support for 64-bit counters was added to net-snmp 5.4.1, so anything

64-bit counters is only supported on S10u4 and OpenSolaris. But assuming
that you have that, you still need to explicitly enabled those counters
by passing the --enable-mfd-rewrites flag to configure.

Right. That is due to the agent that is currently shipped with Solaris.

Re: IF-MIB Solaris 9/SPARC

Hi Joe,

I just tested net-snmp 5.4.1 on a sun4u system running Solaris 9 and it
worked for me (I used --with-mib-modules="if-mib"
--enable-mfd-rewrites). Could you run the agent with '-D
access:interface' and email me whatever the output is?

Thanks,

Re: Compile trouble with 5.4pre3

2006-10-02 Thread Anders Persson
Hi Mike,

After you run configure, open agent/mibgroup/mib_module_includes.h and
move the line "#include mibgroup/kernel_sunos5.h" to the top. Then run make.

PS. You also need to include the line "#define
NETSNMP_INCLUDE_IFTABLE_REWRITES" in include/net-snmp/system/solaris.h
to get the new tables to work.

Cheers,
Anders

Ah! I totally missed that :-/ I guess I was expecting the same behavior
as tcpConnEntry, where the indices are accessible.

Thanks for making it obvious.

That's actually correct, as it's the only accessible column in
udpEndpointTable. All others are specified as "not-accessible"
(because they're indices) in UDP-MIB.
