is powerd supposed to work any more?
Folks, I haven't looked at powerd for a long time because suspend/resume didn't work on my laptop but with some execllent work by some developers I now have a laptop that suspensds and resumes correctly. Now I notice that powerd doesn't seem to be getting any events at all - have we moved on from powerd to some other mechanism or do I have something wrong? -- Brett Lymn "We are were wolves", "You mean werewolves?", "No we were wolves, now we are something else entirely", "Oh"

A google search of NetBSD on KVM gives this advice: "avoid slow down/ hangs with --no-acpi and network timeout by using -net nic,model=ne2k_pci, disable both SMP and ACPI in /boot.cfg inside guest" From: https://www.linux-kvm.org/page/Guest_Support_Status#NetBSD The above text is for 5.0.2, the latest NetBSD version mentioned. You can disable ACPI and SMP from the boot menu on the installer .iso. Hope this helps, Jason M.

Oh, right, thank you. I removed the `screen 8' line and the error in dmesg disappeared. Now, the remaining issue is about Num Lock: is there a way to activate it, other than pressing the button? Something similar to `ledstate -> 1' in wscons configuration, but with effect on Num Lock. Rocky > > -uwe > >
