I don't understand how anyone can manage with

 (a) only a handful of font families, and

 (b) everything they produce looking 'the same'.

I thought that was known as 'House Style', and generally to
be recommended.

I accept that posters and adverts may fall outwith this
concept, though!

Re-direct problem?

2009-07-08 Thread Chris Newman
Hi folks,

The Museum of Bath at Work has a website, the URL of which has changed over
the years.
The old URL still works with Netsurf.

http://www.paulbg.com/bathatwork/

However, the following new one given in their literature does not.

http://www.bath-at-work.org.uk

I get the error message transfer closed with outstanding read data
remaining.

It seems to involve a re-direct to

http://www.bathatwork.co.uk/

Both these latter URLs work OK in Phoenix, Oregano2 Browse with WebServe on
my RiscPC Firefox on my PC so it must be a glitch peculiar to Netsurf.

Can anyone replicate this behaviour?
Any ideas about what is going on?

Regards,

Yes, in that I get the same error message as you with
NetSurf r8240 from http://www.bathatwork.co.uk, while it
loads without any difficulty into Fresco.

PC (which has Firefox, Safari, Opera and IE8) is not
switched on at present...
