Scrolling redraw bug

2011-09-27 Thread Martin Bazley
Further to the ticket I just added here:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=3414714group_id=51719atid=464312

Here is the log file of the SourceForge/Corporate Skull browser session
described:

http://www.starfighter.acornarcade.com/mysite/tmp/log.zip

It would be useful if (a) there was a way to add attachments after
posting, and (b) if there was some way of getting at the log file
without having to quit NetSurf first!

Has anyone else experienced the problem where, scrolling down a page,
a large horizontal section of it randomly disappears as it comes into
view? It seems to me to be a resurrection of a very similar bug which
plagued NetSurf for months a while back, only worse, so I hope it gets
zapped quickly, although I appreciate such errors are a nightmare to
track down.

Re: NetSurf for Mac OS X

2011-09-27 Thread Alan Sally

HI,

I have a Mac PPC G5 running OS 10.5.8 and was disappointed when NetSurf 2.7
wouldn't run on it. Since receiving your post below I have downloaded and
installed Xcode 3.1.3 (there's supposed to be a 3.1.4 but I can't find it) and
now Netsurf runs a treat on my Mac.

Many thanks for that information.

Alan

 I am running OS 10.5.8 on a G5 PPC.

The same happens here, but with OS 10.6.7 on an Intel iMac.
Disappointing, as I was so pleased to see the port for Mac OS X.

The NetSurf 2.8 release should work on Intel macs with 10.6 or later:

NetSurf 2.7 should work on older PPC macs, however to get NetSurf 2.7
working you need to install xcode, which sets the MIME mapping for CSS.
