I think they do, as ISTR hitting a problem with making its appearance in the templates conditional (in the way that the Plugins checkbox is). On the -jsoff builds, the option will have no effect, however (and again IIRC it's actually forced off on those builds). > Otherwise I'm not aware of any other mechanism for discerning which of the > versions you have (other than a much larger !RunImage on disc!) Sorry, I misunderstood your comment. Having read it more carefully, I agree with you. (My NetSurf ButtonBar already has the same PageUp/Down.) Tony

I don't know about Keystroke but that's not true for Buttonbar. If a keypress is understood by an application but not in its menu, it still works. Chris Newman wrote on 14 Jan: > I get the test versions using !Fetch_NS. I'm now up to 809. > JavaScript option now duly found. A wee handy-feature suggestion (if it's not a lot of programming effort): A "Javascript on/off button" on the toolbar. Basically a handy shortcut to the iconbar "Choices > Content > Disable Javascript" tickbox. It would be good to have the on/off handier, because the user needs it on a "per site" basis rather than "per application". (In days of yore, Fresco had such a button, for that reason.) The presence of such a button would also make it visually obvious to the user that a Javascript-enabled version of Netsurf is in use. At present the existence of Javascript is seen only several layers down in Choices. Using build 797 at the moment, on both RiscPC 4.39 and Iyonix 5.18. -- Jim Nagelwww.archivemag.co.uk

This does not reflect the default setting, it's imply that the -jsoff builds do not include any JavaScript functionality at all. If you're running a release version (did you say what version you were running, and where you got it from) then the whole of the above is moot: we've not made a release with JavaScript support, only test versions. Controlling Javascript
Hi, Sojourning temporarily in Australia, I've not kept au fait with all the latest postings so could somebody please remind me how to enable/disable JavaScript. I'm using Virtual Acorn SA 4.02 on Windows XP laptop & am up to test build, 809. I have merged the latest !Boot & !System to make sure I'm up to date. I've checke the user information in the documentation & it still says there is no support for JavaScript. Yours in the usual confusion, -- Chris
