Quindi attraverso /etc/fstab puoi vedere i dispositivi che hai (cdrom o floppy o partizioni dell'hard disk), e a quale mount point corrisponde. A questo punto controlla i permessi dei dispositivi e dei mount point: probabilmente non tutti gli utenti hanno il permesso di accesso. Puoi modificare i permessi con il comando chmod da root. chmod a+rwx nome file per esempio da accesso in lettura, scrittura ed esecuzione a qualsiasi gruppo ed utente. man chmod per saperne di piu'. Premetto che i dispositivi sono tutti montati correttamente in fase di installazione come supermount (che cosa vuol dire?) Supermount e' un upgrade che la Mandrake (e forse la Red Hat) inseriscono nel proprio kernel e consente di montare automaticamente un dispositivo senza dover digitare il comando mount. Per esempio un cdrom viene montato automaticamente appena lo inserisco nel lettore. Un altra cosa ,da Gnome subito dopo l'installazione non mi sono comparse le icone dei dispositivi sopracitati ,a differenza di Kde perchè? cosa devo fare? Vi ringrazio anticipatamente. Non ne sono sicuro, ma prova a clickare col pulsante destro sul desktop: dovrebbe esserci una voce di menu per aggiungere dei dispositivi. In ogni caso, se non ricordo male, puoi creare un link simbolico al mount point nella directory /.gnome-desktop e questo ti crea un'icona sul desktop per l'utilizzo del dispositivo. I have setup efax to answer incoming faxes, but it's not working correctly - I'm getting errors that I don't know how to fix. Hoping someone here can. Hi I had the same problem a week back, it was that my rc.local file was done wrong (the how-to isn't great in explaining it). I fixed it by re-installing. But when I checked the rc.local file, I noticed what I was doing wrong. I can't remember the changes right now (I'm not even at my machine now), but if you send your rc.local file I should be able to remember it. Then it said to add append=hdc=ide-scsi to the end of /etc/lilo.conf. I did that, but when I reconfigured lilo I got an error message saying that the line had a syntax error. So I undid that. If you've done a clean install of 7.2 you really don't need to do this. Go into Linuxconf and enable DHCP in the Networking screen that configures the INTERFACE... Don't make the mistake of going into the DHCPD screens, to set up your own DHCP server. That's it!
