Simply close that console after saving the edit to bashrc,

Tip, while you've got bashrc open and the new alias edited in,
the file saved At that point start a new console and check

does, then close the original console/editor.

From the GAIM FAQ (http://gaim.sourceforge.net/faq.php):

Can I import or export my buddy list?

Sorry, no. Old versions of Gaim supported this, but new versions do not. All the code
for saving and loading buddy lists was rewritten, and support for importing and
exporting buddy lists was never re-added. However, with all major protocols storing
their buddy lists on the server, this feature is less useful today than in the past.

Also, don't forget to reply to the LIST ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), not the SENDER (justin at

[newbie] konq services mp3

2004-07-02 Thread Björn Lundin
Hello!
In KDE 3.1 and before, I could rip a cd by clicking services
in Konqueror, and then drag the virtual files in the Mp3 directory shown, to
another directory, watching the music being ripped.

In 3.2 I can only see this for Wav and Ogg files, not Mp3. Also I remember
there was a setting in KDE control Center where one could adjust the
ripping parameters. I can't find it for Mp3, and actually not for ogg
either?

Can anyone shed some light to a blind(?) man?

[newbie] Displaying certain resolution @ certain frequency

2004-07-02 Thread Eric Scott
   Yo;
I have a Panasonic E15 monitor attatched to an old Pentium 1 box
running Mandrake 9.1. The default setup in the Mandrake Control Center
for this particular monitor doesn't function right, so I have it set at
a generic 800x600 screen @ 60Hz, which is what it is... but to display
1024x768 (The max resolution) I have to display at 75Hz (Under Windows
anyway), but it doesn't let me change it from 60Hz to 75Hz.
The long and short of it is I wanna tell my computer to
display 1024x768 at 75Hz, and I can't do that through the easy nifty
little control center... so how can I?
  Thanx God Bless,

ie, \var\www\html is only 6gigs and \home is 20gigs
This is now causing a problem because I am running out of space on the

changed my httpd.conf to show the web directory in \home\web and I tried
creating a symbolic link html to \home\web. Neither of these ideas
worked. Any suggestions?
