Anyway I came to put my new version of Mandrake 9.2 on and for some reason it will not install at all. I have booted from the CD , out the CD in and tried it that way and nothing. Well when I say nothing, it starts then all I get is lost interupt over and over. Do you have any idea what this might be. I thought it might be a dodgy disk but I tried reinstalling 9.1 and that is the same. I am now running windows xp pro on a 2.6 mhz with a 128 graphics card and 80 gb of hd and 2512 of ddr ram. Oh the joys of experimenting lol Philip. (rainy meltham) Hi, Philip. Well, I haven't even tried 9.2 yet, so it'a a guess. Did you turn off plug'n'play in bios? I don't think XP needs it, and Mandrake will certainly be better without it. Other than that, I don't know, Philip. If that doesn't work, take it to the list. The 'lost interrupt' to me suggests that maybe the pnp is trying to fight it out for interrupts with the install, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. It is the configuration that is held by a cmos battery on your motherboard. To change anything you watch your bootup screen very carefully, and as soon as the memory count is complette you hit Delete (on most mobos, though F1 on some - a message should appear at the bottom of the screen, but you don't have much time). You then have to look through the options on each page, as the way the bios software is set up varies enormously. Somewhere in there you will find something like'Plug and Play OS' which you set to 'no'. Anne -- Registered Linux User No.293302 Have you visited http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org yet? Just as a test, you might try commenting out the # Load dri line in your xconfig-4 Module section, to see if the problem might go away. GLX doesn't look too good if your system acts up running gears, either, but one thing at a time. Perhaps SuSe is writing the xconfig-4 file for the Radeon somewhat differently than Mandrake does it?
