Subject: [newbie] Turning off HTML in Microsoft Exchange

I know this is way off topic, but ...

I got a request from a friend who would like to turn off HTML in the
Microsoft Exchange Email client he uses (must use). Thought maybe
somebody on this list might know how?

I don't know much about Exchange, but, if it makes a difference, it is
running under NT4.0 and might be some sort of military issue version.

[newbie] file sharing Linux to Linux

2001-09-01 Thread Paul H Upton

I am running samba on a Linux server, file serving to my windows clients
across the LAN. This was easy to set-up in Mandrake with the gui's provided.

The problem that I have is that I now want to convert my main client to
Linux too but how can I connect to the Linux server containing my data?

Any advise would be great.

across an ssh session as the Linux box is located in the garage

Any thoughts?

I am running a dual boot between mandrake and 98 se.
Also, my pc is networked on a cable modem.

After using the internet through windows, I was no
longer able to use it in mandrake. I reloaded my
configuration files through the control center and my
internet/network connection is enabled. However, I
still can't connect to the internet through mandrake.

Please let me know my next course of action.

Thanks.

[newbie] SSL

2001-08-23 Thread Paul H Upton

First posting on this list so appologies if protocol is broken...

Managed to setup my first Linux box ever and have implemented Neomail
for remote email access... Ideally, I would like to use SSL for the
whole session...

No problems so far as Apache-ssl runs right after an install but I'd
like to generate my own certificate...

Can someone point me in the right direction here?

Many thanks.
