[newbie] win4lin-- I need more info about it
Hi ppl! For of all I would like to thanks all the ppl of the linux community for helping to achieving Linux as a state of the art OS. Unfortunatley I am still a university student and most of my application run only under windows I saw a screen-shot, It which there was mention some Win4Lin... Is that sort of a Windows API for linux. Although I am going to install both windows2000 and Linux Mandarke 8.1 on the my new machine machine, I would like to know If I can run windows applications such as The Borland Delphi compilerand etc, on an linux machine. I had the same problrm 2 days ago.. [newbie] Samba- I want to shared my windows folders with linux
hi ppl! I had successfully managed to share my linux folders with other win98 machines usinf Samba. [newbie] Samba- problem - asking for an unkown password
I managed to run samba and to see the linux machine on my windows explore, but when I click on the linux machine .. it prompts me for a password, I had tried all the passwords used in the linux box and windows machine, but still without success. I had try to tweak directly with the /etc/smb.conf file.. but It was useless.. I had also shared folders.. but I still cannot access the linux machine I had then tried to modify the setting from the drakeconfnetworksamba... but still for nothing.
