sex on this channel is not a subject for discussion :: was :: Re: [newbie] 8.0 Beta

ok,
one is bad the other is worse.

 perhaps.

getting sexually excited is one thing, to have sex with a 16 year-old is
illegal and /or inapproriate in most of the worlds "modern computer using
societies."

we all get sexually excited, most of us have the tact not to share it and
its results with the general population.

may we all be considerate and use some tact.

I can't believe all this about one stupid comment. He is human I'm sure,
not
like any of us have ever done something stupid.
What amazes me further is that no one has made one comment about the guy
who
in his signature, it says linux gives him a woody. How is this any
different?
I don't take offense to either saying, I knew he was saying it in
excitement.

Now had he said that he knew his statement was true due to experience,
then
 I could understand the concern.

Re: [newbie] GRUB Question

On this realm... kinda. I need to get my win98 partition off of my drive,
(hda1). I ghost the partition, image it to a new smaller drive, and find
that no matter what tricks I do.. Lilo still wants to boot the reimaged
partiton.

Any clues for the clueless are appreciated.

I have to reformat the WindowsME drive in my computer so I can reinstall
WinME (yet again!) for my wife. My question is the following, will my
reinstalling of WInME mess up the link that was made bby GRUB when I
installed ML on my second hard drive?

Re: [newbie] need help on DSL with LM7.2

2001-03-04 Thread Steelhead

the issue is in the netconf setting I expect. With a static IP and access
throgh a nic/modem setup... ppoe is not needed. Set it up as a standard
network. I did so for both home and office on Pacbell's flavor of DSL for
almost 2 years. I am now trying to futz with a cable modem... pumpd does
not work right on 7.1.

my 2 cents.

I might be wrong in your case, but I'm using a 675, and did not use

ok,
ata 100 is an ide based solution. Not SCSI
2 ata 100 can be turned off in the bios, reducing the system
to a more normal ata 33 which is supported.

I thought ata 100 was supported, but, .

I have Mandrake 7.2 and RedHat
7.0When I try to install Mandrake it keeps on telling me "do you have any
scsi devices?"When I say "no" it just ignores it and keeps on telling me
"yes or no". But when I click yes it's unable to find the drivers for
it.So i'm stuck at this level of installation.I think that's because
  linux doesn't support ata/100.
