Re: [newbie] Package List
Hi Tony, If you have your urpmi sources properly configured, you can just type 'urpmq kernel' in the konsole (or any other teminal), and it gill give you the available kernels. You can do it also using GUI (KDE, Gnome,...) : System-Configuration-Packages-Software Install (I am translating from Spanish, so the name of the menus may be slightly wrong) Any way, I can tell you that the latest kernel available in Mandrake Update is kernel-2.6.8.1.24mdk. I have tried at 6:00 am local time to 6:00 pm local time and get the same error. I am behind a firewall but I don't have problems downloading, etc. via ftp sites other than ones I am trying to set up as urpmi sources. Any ideas? Thanks! and sorry if this is a bother. I'm afraid all I can do is commiserate. I've been trying for nearly 2 months now, without a single successful update from any server. I get the same message as you every time. I can even logon to the servers manually via ftp, but I still get the curl error. -- Ron Hunter-Duvar ronhd at users dot sourceforge dot net Opinions expressed here are all mine.
