Not my idea really, Lyvim. Some time ago Civileme himself
offered to *unify* the 4 software-screens you complained
about under the appropriate name *rpmdrakexaphir.rpm*.
I hope he's working on it over there in Alaska.

Happy *wiring* to you - see you soon I hope.

I'm taken aback, to put it mildly. I thought it WAS your joke! What thread did I

Guess there was some mail that didn't get here or something. I'll have to thank

considerate guy.

BTW, this is a good example of why the mail delivery problems on the list here bug

The Australian state of Western Australia is bigger yet. We got a
country is is roughly the same size as the continental US and have only
six states.

Hehe... I wrote that article, BTW :)

I was preparing to write something about GNU/Linux and viruses when I came
across Civileme's post. He basically echoed what I wanted to write, and he
worded it much better than I could have done. I figured it'd be better to
directly quote a respected member of the community rather than write my own
half-arsed (by comparison) response.

Very interesting. I think that if many of the magazines out there had any sense,
they would be hiring Civileme to do tech article work. Seems like they would want
their money to go where it would get the best results. It would be nice to hear
some straightforward commonsense tech talk for a change in the trade rags instead
of blah blah blather from non-tech journalists.
