I encountered the same difficulty in that clicking on a link did nothing. I tried the
advice given in this thread.

Is it a reason to not use Sylpheed? No.

Is it a minor annoyance? Yes

It can be worked around by selecting the link, copying it, and pasting it into your
browser of choice.

I use Opera with many pages open all the time so I pick the page
where I want the link to open, highlight, middleclick, and there it
is. The extra clicks bothered me until I realized it gave me more
control.

Also lets you pick the desktop. I run 12 all the time, so this is
easier for me than looking for the open link or putting up with the
browser on top of my mail.

I did try what you had in your previous post. It still only selects one word (the
com in .com as an example).

I will keep plugging away at it.

I may try uninstalling and reinstalling Sylpheed.

More later.

Thank you for your reply.

I too was successful. What I needed to do was to give the FULL path to Mozilla (in my
case). I was using the mozilla '%s' that is listed in the pull down menu.

Life is good.

Thank you for your feedback.

Not really a lot of programs but I never really liked the window
concept very much.

I alway have kwrite on desk1, sylpheed on desk2, oo on desk3, cli on
desk4, quanta o desk 5, komba2 on desk6, current special projects on
desk7/11, and opera on desk12. The box and mdk handle the load,
never crash, and generally please me greatly until I screw something
up.

Life is good.
