The other cup-holder on top of the first one is in fact an ejectable cup
device. Like in jet planes with pilots. If you put a coffee cup on the
lower tray, and then press the little thingee button on the first tray,
the cups automatically gets ejected.

Get your towels ready, if you try it...

You need a calibrated cup for it to work right. Then the ejecter just taps it,
to measure it's mass, and only ejects it if it's empty.

You can then set a cron job to do it once a minute.

(or should I use the top one for drinks and the bottom one for
 sandwiches/snacks?)

Use the bottom one for holding your chewing tobacco or dentures. The
height distance between the two prohibits usage for dual cup holding,
but IS high enough for a squashed PBJ (or Vegemite) sandwich, or maybe
even some crackers (bisquits). This is an inherent design flaw in the
way that computer cases are manufactured, but the original engineers
still refer to it as being a feature and not a bug. Ideally, the two
should sit side-by-side as in the old IBM desktop AT cases or in custom
desktop cases. With the two sitting side-by-side you can then make full
use of your equipment - allowing you to have two different types of
beverages at hand (Bourbon Coke + beer, or Gin Tonic + Guiness).

It's the long squarish thingee that if you press the little button, the
tray magically slides out and can comfortably hold either a coffee cup
or an ice cream cone. Works wonders with ice cream cones as long as you
don't hit the little button again. It takes ages to get the bits of cone
out of the cup tray.

A grade school teacher was asking students what their parents did
for a living. Tim, you be first, she said. What does your mother do
all day?
Tim stood up and proudly said, She's a doctor.
That's wonderful. How about you, Amie?
Amie shyly stood up, scuffed her feet and said, My father is a
mailman.
Thank you, Amie, said the teacher. What about your father, Billy?
Billy proudly stood up and announced, My daddy plays piano in a
whorehouse.
The teacher was aghast and promptly changed the subject to geography.
Later that day she went to Billy's house and rang the bell. Billy's father
answered the door. The teacher explained what his son had said and demanded
an explanation.
Billy's father replied, Well, I'm really an attorney. But how do
you explain a thing like that to a seven-year-old child?
