[newbie] Eterm customization
Some months back somone on this list (IIRC Shane or DarkLord) said they stumbled on a file that allowed you to tweak the ETerm console for pix, text size, etc. I'll be damned if i can find it in the archives though. Can someone pls tell me the name of the file its whereabouts in MDK's directories? TIA --- Femme Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com

TIA --- Femme Yes maam. /usr/X11R6/share/Eterm/themes/Eterm/MAIN For menu alterations there is also /usr/X11R6/share/Eterm/themes/Eterm/Eterm.menu By all rights these files should be in /etc/X11, but Eterm and Enlightenment hail from a very early time in Linux's history, and the authors are not only slow to come into compliance with existing filesystem conventions, but are also VERY slow to new releases. This is a serious window manager used by a very large group of people, enough that it should merit more serious attention. This of course is for local only effect. And yes it's wierd to have a configuration file buried in a themes subdirectory. I don't remember anyting about the text size, but I've always copied pictures/backgrounds that I liked into: /usr/share/Eterm/pix and then edited these files: pixmaps.list scaled-pixmaps.list tiled-pixmaps.list following the format thats already in each file. I get the cool backgrounds I want that way. With Eterm up/active, hit F1 and it will bring up a config window. I've not played with it much TBH though. Hope this helps ya! :-) -- /\ Dark Lord \/ Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com
