I've been all over Microsoft's site. I don't see anyplace there is one. I have, however, heard rumors of such a beast. Should you get a better answer to your message, I'd sure like to know too. Thanks. Original Message Follows I see that Netscape supports Linux. Does Internet Explorer support Linux too? If so, where is the SPECIFIC web page that i go to download it? Please don't say www.microsoft.com/download. Please be more specific than that. Postman ___ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com

It's me again. This should answer your question: Micrsoft doesn't support Internet Explorer for Linux James Ryan Thursday Mar 18, 1999 Occupation: PROGRAMMER Location: TORONTO No emotion for me. Fact is Micrsoft doesn't support Internet Explorer for Linux. Hence Netscape is my best choice. When Microsoft decides to give up their 'not invented here' syndrome and support the same platforms as Netscape, THEN I may switch. Until then, IE is simply not a strong enough reason to downgrade to Windows Original Message Follows I see that Netscape supports Linux. Does Internet Explorer support Linux too? There is a version of Explorer for one of the Unixes, but it will not work in Linux. There is serious doubt that MS will port Explorer to Linux. You could always run Explorer under Windows in a VMware virtual machine running on your Linux box, but that's too much trouble. Hoyt

Ben [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: opera software www.opersoftware.com is almost done with its port. If you're unhappy with netscape, you may want to follow it's development. ( I should clarify and say this is the port of the opera web browser, not msie ) Ben I've used Opera (win version) on and off for over a year. It's pretty slick and quite small (fits on a floppy). It does cost $35 after the 30 trial period. I find it superior to Navigator, but not quite as polished as IE 5.0. It is the fastest of the bunch though :o)
