Hi All,

When I first set this system up it played a little tune when KDE

can because I was tinkering with sound setting trying to get it back and
I was able to play the tune so I know it is still there but why won't it
play at start up?

Trivial I know but I miss it

Have you changed KDE themes? Sometimes in changing the theme, it will
either disable the regular startup sound, or hose it all together. After
you've opened up the KDE Control Centre, and under SOUND, then SYSTEM
NOTIFICATIONS, you've re-browsed for the sound then exited - correct?
Because in doing that, it WILL be saved (or should be saved) - so when
you reboot the machine and enter into KDE, it should be there...ya?

Have you seen the well-to-do, up and down Park Avenue?
On that famous thoroughfare, with their noses in the air,
High hats and Arrow collars, white spats and lots of dollars,
Spending every dime, for a wonderful time...
If you're blue and you don't know where to go to,
Why don't you go where fashion sits,
...
Dressed up like a million dollar trooper,
Trying hard to look like Gary Cooper, (super dooper)
Come, let's mix where Rockefeller's walk with sticks,
Or umberellas, in their mitts,
Puttin' on the Ritz.
...

Why don't you go where fashion sits,

Puttin' on the Ritz.
Puttin' on the Ritz.
