Re: [newbie] KMail and Importing Outlook Express 5 address lists
Export it as a csv text file (or someting like that). It was one of the text choices in outlook express (maybe version 6). Then, in kmail you can import it, and configure some stuff as you do. If you are like me, you'll do it a few times before you get all the outlook export choices set properly. The first option on Import is 'Import folders from Outlook Express 5. This will deal with your mail. KMail uses KAddressbook, which imports vcard or list. Eric suggested .csv, which should import under list. HTH Anne Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com

Import using Nutscrape in WINDOWS ONLY! DO NOT do that in linux. Copy the the file that Nutscrape Exports (after importing the outlook files) to a FAT32 partition or diskette or cdrom or whatever you can use to read it from Linux. Import this Netscrape file using Kmail. Done deal. - FemmeFatale, aka The Skirt Good Decisions Your boss Made: We'll do as you suggest and go with Linux.
