[newbie] Kicker Crash

Thanks Charlie. I did indeed figure out that .xxx meant hidden, and set Konqueror to show them all, as I run the same way in Windows. Got this new little app-launch button on the taskbar after upping to RC2. Looks kind of like a little gear. Clicking it produces an error window: Unable to run the command specified. The file or directory file:/home/lance/.kde/share/apps/kicker/Welcome.desktop does not exist. Should I be concerned about this? You'll see a kludge fix for removing libpng2, and installing libpng3, but it's reported to break other apps. The final fix will be to recompile all those other apps to use libpng3. BTW, the newer cooker kde rpms incorporate objprelinking, but you won't get any speed benefit unless you also get the qt2 rpms and a few other deps.
