Dennis Angell Hi, Dennis, From the console, do 'xf86config'. This will guide you through the X configuration. The important things you need to know to run this are the horizontal and vertical refresh rates of your monitor, and the make and model of your video card. Good luck, Hidong

Dennis Angell I'm assuming that your machine is coming up in runlevel 5 graphical mode and you cannot see it due to your wrong choice?? Ok. Boot Linux again. when you see lilo: type " linux 3 " with out the quotes. And don't take all day. you only have a few seconds. This will boot you into linux without X. Login as root, then do Xconfigurator. This will allow you to choice the right video setting. Then reboot. Alan -- == [EMAIL PROTECTED] ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) running Linux Mandrake 6.1 and/or BeOS.
