Here are the locations you may try for what you may need for the LinModems/WinModems or whatever they are called. http://www.o2.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html http://lwn.net/1999/1209/a/lucent.html don I thought I knew that I knew what I thought But now I know that what I thought I knew Isn't what I know I think I thought I knew. RE: [newbie] Modem not detected
COM 5??? There should only be 4 com ports unless you manually created them. -Original Message- From: Sharon Pfeiffer [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, March 17, 2000 7:09 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [newbie] Modem not detected Hi! Re: [newbie] Modem not detected
In case your modem ISN"T a winmodemas far as I know...COM ports don't go any higher then 4 in Linux. Is it a Plug and Play? (I had trouble with my US Robitics 56K Pnp modem till I got PNP off) Can you manually hardware your modem to use either COM 1, 2, 3, or 4? Jero Sharon Pfeiffer wrote: Hi!
