Is there a GUI interface for proftpd or wu-ftpd? I am used to having a visual interface like in serv-u and G6 A gui server wouldn't really make sense (other than maybe a web-based control interface) -- are you needing a gui-based ftp client? There are some, like gftp and kde's browser. Nadin David E. hmm.. i want to use wu-ftpd Either one perhaps lacks security features, whether it be pro ftpd or wu-ftpd. Is there such a thing as a secure ftp server? Maybe not. The impetus from many sysadmins seems to be to drop ftp altogether and switch to secure ssh-based connections, such as scp. David E.
