look at the bright side Anne. At least you're not still fighting with Java
 and Mozy. :P

Hey - gave that up as a waste of time. I'm pretty sure it was a war between
Netscape and Mozilla, and there was no way I could stop them fighting.
Netscape seems to have won, so I'm sticking with that until the next install.

It's worth noting, though - let others beware.

My parent live outside of Austin. Maybe you can get them to let you do a
Windows optimisation and maintenance on their system? (grin)
(Georgetown - and not that they'd pay much, but ma does cook...)

In reality, though, I always found that MCI in Richardson was a great
source of consistent contract work...but now I can't remember the names
of the contract companies that I used to work through - been quite a
while...and Fritolay/PespiCo lup in Plano was always burning through
contractors...

Part of the issue is that I've had to make a living - which is
expected from about third week of January and then beyond - same every
year - been like that since I can remember. However, WHEN I get my ADSL
setup here - which is going to be VERY shortly, I shan't hesitate to be
a touch more quick on the replies.

Overall, though, when you're steeped in it from 5am through 11pm (or
longer) every night, one does have to take some time off and away in
order to massage the ol'carpal tunnels and give the remaining brain
cells a bit of non-electronic relief.

I could, however, put business aside and just play endlessly, but I
don't think that I can get paid for that at the moment...(grin)

Why be so Texas - specific ??
There's more to life than Texas mate...Australia, for example...
If it's the flat, boring, lifeless plains you're desiring, we got
heaps here! (Hey wait, David Koresh had a good setup - shouldn't be too
hard to copy that one) (Not that Corpus Cripsy is a great place)
