[newbie] Changing font in Advanced Text Editor
Hi... Am I missing something or is it really not possible to change the font in the Advanced Text Editor? I'd like to use a different fixed-width font, but I can't see how to change it... Cheers. M. -- Michael O'Henly TENZO Design

Try http://mandrakeuser.org/ and in the "X" section, "Fonts on X" or "Why Do Look Fonts So Ugly (sic)" ... those instructions work for me. -- Jan Wilson _/*]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Corozal Community College| |:' Corozal Junior College Corozal Town, Belize | /' Central America Visit our Corozal site |_/ http://www.corozal.com

Sorry. I guess grep 100dpi like axalon suggested would have worked cleaner. I wouldn't think too many people would have had rpm's with 100 in their title. -- | http://www.prowebservers.com Desmond Wass| Web Hosting Systems {Mobile Stolen} | Phone: 08 9244 4877 | Fax: 08 9244 4977

Re: [Re: [newbie] changing font] WOW whata dif
Ok, I changed the font to 100dpi and wow what an improvement. I had to go to the /etc/X11/fs/config file with the advanced text editor and switcheded everything that was 75 to 100 and all that was 100 to 75. Of course you have to install the 100dpi fonts off the installation CD. Then I shut down and restarted and it is wonderful. Thanks Tom for the hints toward the right direction. At 800X600 the 75dpi fonts are fine, but above that the 75dpi fonts are too small on my 17" monitor. Now it is great. You'll see that unlike my example above, your '75dpi' fonts are above your '100 dpi' fonts. Just switch 'em, 50% font improvement, and it's that easy. -- .. Tom Brinkman[EMAIL PROTECTED] .
