The scripts can be executed by root and run fine with root. Do they need to be permissible by anything else? Put a full email address in the MAILTO= field and you will get the mails in your regular mail account (So long as you have a mail server installed or an smtp transport application like ssmtp) Also if you install webmin from your CDs and type https://localhost:1 in a browser you can view your cron jobs and run them from within webmin. Are you getting emails from the other cron scripts? Is cron running in MCC? If you can run the scripts from the command line then the permissions are okay. -Original Message- From: Jason G. No, I'm not getting any emails from cron at all. I've never seen this problem on any of my other linux boxes, nor of any of them that I support at the University. Cron appears to be running. I even installed anacron as a comparison, and anacron isn't finding any cron scripts that are not being touched.
