not only that, but if the iso is 652 MB, it will burn as slightly less

copy the iso to a cdrom???

Well, always a fudge factor. dd for instance on a series of wav's I
burnt to cd yesterday totalled 714 mb. But it would have fit (audio) on
a 74min (650 mb) CD just fine - it topped at 72 minutes according to
gcombust.

Probably due to the 1000 vs 1024 thing, or it's not including error
correcting sectors etc.

Use CDRs they go to 700 MB
  CD/RWs top out at 650

My TDK RW's say 700MB, I've never tried filling them to the max
are you saying I would only get 650 on them ?

I've used TDKs for Cooker betas without trouble. Also TEAC, and one other that
I don't recall. They were probably all manufactured by the same company
anyway.

Yes, you can burn 700 MB/80 minutes to those CD-RW disks. The hardware I've
managed to use them on so far:

Mitsumi CR-4804TE 4x4x24
A-Open 52x24x52

Mike,

You can get CD's of different sizes, the burner should be okay for all
of them.

Tony.

I downloaded cd 1,2,3 iso for 92. The problem is cds 2 and 3 are
greater than 650 meg. Are there CDs that hold more and still writable
by the same burner?

At what speed are you trying to burn that can effect the padding
burn at no more than 1/2 the rated speed of the burner
i know it's a PIA but you will only do it a couple of times
BTW what burner program are you using?

Mine said 74 minutes or 650 mb. If yours says 700, they should hold that
much.
