I had the same problem a while back.  I think all I did was enter the IP 
address and hostname into /etc/hosts.  Note: you must leave the localhost 
IP address in that file as well - just add the new one(s) below it.

You need to configure the card with DHCP, to do that edit the profile file
for the adapter (probebly eth0) can't remember where the file is though,
somewhere like /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/ifeth0. See if that work
