Agreed, but I'd imagine that less people ask or get it wrong if the correct
way (tm) is mentioned in every mail.

That's what I meant. I didn't mean that people should start to putt this in
their personal signatures.

Romanha ha, what first comes to mind is, after you type
Roman, then type the number. :-)

Just bang in a signature. As long as it is not a 12K quote from something,
it's okay with me. Signatures exist since e-mail does, or so.

Hey, *I* never wrote anything about the length of signatures *grin*.

Anyway, it could be a three liner, couldn't it? Like so:

--
To unsubscribe: echo unsubscribe newbie | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
To be temporarily off: echo set newbie nomail | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]

That's only 3 lines with each line = 78 chars.

And then there's 3 to 6 more lines for my signature. To that, I'd need a
separate signature for this list, because on other lists, or private
people are probably not interested in this info *grin*
Let's hope Dennis is able to do something with the trailer of each mail

to add

Bill

We'll have to interrogate Dennis when he comes back, the list owner should
be able to do that.

For a start:

to leave the list:

send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with in the body text just the word unsubscribe

To stop getting mail for a while, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and in the body write

set newbie nomail

To get mail again do the same, just write then

set newbie mail
