[newbie] Beonex
MM, i used Beonex Communicator for the first time. It seems to be more secure than Mozilla and honestly, installing Java2 and Flash were as easy as under windows. Great browser, that Beonex! Re: [newbie] Glaxium
Mm, So? This suprises me. Anyway, i find it stupid a distro includes software which simply won't work. It is a sign of quantity, instead of quality. I have the same probs with Luola, pinball and those I do not know. I hope with 9.2 some probs are going to besolved... BB, Toran Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? [newbie] Problem with floppy
Hi, On Mandrake 9.1 I use floppies to store bookmarks and textfiles I will not need for long. I have a textfile called roedi2000 in the greencraft-dir.(home-dir) This is what I did; su password cp /home/toran/greencraft/roedi2000.pdf /mnt/floppy ls -l /mnt/floppy roedi2000 is shown. After starting the PC up again, the floppy is empty. I think I use the wrong path, but I am really puzzled by now... Last time all went well... What did I do wrong? You can also open a shell rpm -ivh filename in order to install rpm -Uvh filename to upgrade. also ONLY on Mandrake (same as apt!) [newbie] Installing tar
MM, When instaling tar, I decompress with Konqueror and place the decompressed file in a self made directory. Then I link it to the desktop. Is there no better way to do this? It works, but I think sometimes (like with opera), I lack dependicies. I use for the moment mdk 8.1 Download Edition, but waiting for 9.1 Pro.
