Questo è quello che ho fatto un po' di tempo fa spero ti possa essere utile. entri come utente monti il cdrom apri il terminale diventi root digita /mnt/cdrom/linux/office52/setup -net (molti dicono che bisogna digitare /net ma con la / non mi funzionava mah! ) dove chiede di essere installato il prg di default non va bene in quanto la dir /root non è accessibile da tutti gli utenti quindi ho inserito /usr/bin/office52 terminata l'installazione digiti exit e torni utente normale da utente digita /usr/bin/office52/program/setup e parte l'installazione per singolo utente. Non mi ha installato né adabas né lo java. Però mi accontento. Nota bene l'ho installato sotto mandrake 8.1 e con il cd di staroffice. Spero di esserti stato d'aiuto come altri lo sono stati con me. [newbie-it] Star Office 5.2
Salve ragazzi, Vi disturbo di nuovo... all'apertura di Star office 5.2 già installato nella directory dell'utente, il sistema mi dice che non può far partire il pacchetto perché non trova il file sofficerc nella directory user... in realtà il file è lì presente sotto il formato .txt Chiedo che sia riparato e lui mi dice che non può ripararlo perché mancano i file del database Adabas... ho controllato ed esiste una directory con nome Adabas. ciao e grazie mille

Then each user installs their own *account* in their ~ directory (usually about 3-4mb). This is done by choosing "network install" (I believe that's what it's called). You needn't be on a *network*. I'm guessing that you installed it as root. I'm pretty sure Star Office needs to be installed with the user account. M. [newbie-it] star office 5.2
Qualcuno ha provato a installare Adabas? Io ho installato Star Office 5.2 nella directory /usr/local/star_office52 (ogni utente deve poi installare alcuni file nella sua home directory). Pensavo di poter fare la stessa cosa con Adabas e l'ho installato in /usr/local/adabas. Ho anche settato a mano le relative variabili (DBROOT, DBWORK, DBCONFIG, LD_LIBRARY_PATH e PATH) nel file .bashrc dell'utente che uso. Quando pero' procedo all'installazione dei file di Star Office necessari al singolo utente, il programma di installazione mi avverte che non e' stato possibile trovare i file per l'installazione del database Adabas e che dovrei avviare il setup di Adabas manualmente dopo aver installato Star Office. Cosa significa? Che devo installare Adabas per ogni utente che lo vuole utilizzare? Scusate se sono stato troppo lungo :-) Davide
