[No Thirst Software] Re: Hide Future Pending option
As I've said twice in this thread already, the transaction was 1/1/09, the current day's date was 1/3/09, and hiding future pending transactions didn't hide it from the transaction list, only from the bucket. It's not a large issue, I normally leave things as open once I know it's been paid or the check written, but I thought it worth mentioning. Chris, I can't seem to recreate this problem. Stupid question but are you sure your pending transaction has a date prior to today? [No Thirst Software] Re: Hide Future Pending option
That's not the issue here. The point is, if it doesn't automatically move them from pending to open, then it's obviously intended that in some situations you'll have pending transactions in the past. Yet the hide future pending option hides pending transactions from the past from the bucket amounts. I have to force it to open in order for it to affect the bucket values. If that's intended behavior, then it should be "hide pending transactions", not "hide future pending transactions", since its affecting the past ones also. I actually like the manual method. I makes me think about how I am managing my money. it is not as convenient and I may want it in the future, but for now I am good with this. If you add automatic updates in the future would you be willing to make it an option? You have to confirm that each pending transaction is current by switching them manually. You can select a group of them, right-click and change them all at once if you'd like. [No Thirst Software] Re: Hide Future Pending option
Select the transaction and manually change it from "pending" to "open". I am not sure why, but transactions are not automatically moving from pending to open my system either (MBP 17, 2.16, 10.5.6). I am not sure that the transition is supposed to be automatic though. The transaction was 1/1, the current date was 1/3, and the future pending period was set to 2 days.
